AJALT GATHERING

The AJALT Gathering event on November 7, 2015 was a big success with large groups of students, instructors, and supporters in attendance. Our guests enjoyed a demonstration of Juni-hitoe dressing given by the Kasumi-kaikan Emondo kenkyukai. It was a rare and precious opportunity to see the elegant and beautiful costumes that women in the ancient Imprerial court used to wear. AJALT set up many booths, where guests tried their hands at tea ceremony, calligraphy, go, shogi, origami and other traditional aspects of the Japanese culture. Everyone had a great time socializing.

The participants are listening Japanese lullabies and the lullabies introduced from foreign countries
